Helping young children understand and manage their emotions is an important part of their development. In this one-hour Parent Aid workshop, parents and caregivers will learn how to recognize and support children’s emotional needs while teaching them to identify and name their feelings. Participants will explore how modeling healthy emotional responses and teaching age-appropriate coping skills can help children manage big emotions. Caregivers will also learn how to help children understand the message behind their feelings while recognizing that all feelings are okay, even when certain behaviors are not. These skills help build connection, confidence, resilience, and healthy emotional development that children can carry with them as they grow.
