– The holidays can be a joyful time, but they can also bring added stress for parents and caregivers, especially those with little ones. Preparing meals, welcoming visitors, traveling, managing schedules, and meeting everyone’s needs can leave caregivers feeling overwhelmed and exhausted. In the midst of caring for their families, parents often forget to take care of themselves. Parent Aid will offer a one-hour workshop to help caregivers understand why caring for themselves is important and how their well-being affects their children, relationships, and overall family life. Participants will learn practical tips and simple reminders for taking time each day to pause, breathe, relax, and do something for themselves. Because when caregivers take care of themselves, they are better able to care for the people they love.
