Children's Book Drive
A book is one of the most powerful gifts you can provide to a child.
A book can open up new worlds to a child and spark a lifelong journey filled with
imagination, curiosity, problem-solving, new perspectives and diversity.
This year, Parent Aid is proud to partner with Button Brew House
for our first-ever Children’s Book Drive!
While all children’s books are accepted, below are some of our favorites!
Things to Consider
Reading Level – Most of books go to children 0 to 5, but we do have kiddos older as well
Illustrations – Kiddos love high contrast like works of art from Eric Carle.
Messaging – Think about the message of the story and if it’s still relevant today. You can’t go wrong with the inclusivity of Todd Parr.
Interactivity – Kiddos love books that make their adults say and do silly things. Just read Sandra Boynton and you will see!
Flow – Think the incomparable Dr. Seuss, but Andrea Beaty is fun too!
Language – Books with words in English and Spanish are great!
