Caregivers will also learn how to help children understand the message behind their feelings while recognizing that all feelings are okay\, even when certain behaviors are not. DESCRIPTION:– The holidays can be a joyful time\, but they can also bring added stress for parents and caregivers\, especially those with little ones. Preparing meals\, welcoming visitors\, traveling\, managing schedules\, and meeting everyone’s needs can leave caregivers feeling overwhelmed and exhausted. In the midst of caring for their families\, parents often forget to take care of themselves. Parent Aid will offer a one-hour workshop to help caregivers understand why caring for themselves is important and how their well-being affects their children\, relationships\, and overall family life. Participants will learn practical tips and simple reminders for taking time each day to pause\, breathe\, relax\, and do something for themselves. Because when caregivers take care of themselves\, they are better able to care for the people they love. \n  \nLas fiestas pueden ser una época de alegría\, pero también pueden generar estrés adicional para los padres y cuidadores\, especialmente para aquellos que tienen niños pequeños. Preparar comidas\, recibir visitas\, viajar\, organizar horarios y atender las necesidades de todos puede hacer que los cuidadores se sientan abrumados y agotados. En medio del cuidado de sus familias\, los padres a menudo olvidan cuidarse a sí mismos. Parent Aid ofrecerá un taller de una hora para ayudar a los cuidadores a comprender por qué es importante cuidarse y cómo su bienestar repercute en sus hijos\, sus relaciones y la vida familiar en general. Los participantes aprenderán consejos prácticos y recordatorios sencillos para dedicar un momento cada día a hacer una pausa\, respirar\, relajarse y hacer algo por sí mismos; porque cuando los cuidadores se cuidan\, están en mejores condiciones para cuidar a las personas que aman.

In this one-hour Parent Aid workshop\, parents and caregivers will learn how to recognize and support children’s emotional needs while teaching them to identify and name their feelings. Participants will explore how modeling healthy emotional responses and teaching age-appropriate coping skills can help children manage big emotions. Caregivers will also learn how to help children understand the message behind their feelings while recognizing that all feelings are okay\, even when certain behaviors are not. These skills help build connection\, confidence\, resilience\, and healthy emotional development that children can carry with them as they grow.
